Tagged / 7 Things

I was tagged recently.
In the world of Illustration Friday, that means
I have to tell you 7 things about myself.
Since this is primarily a sketch blog, I decided
to draw them instead of writing them.

This Island Earth

Fire up the Interroceter . . .
. . . I'm in a Metaluna state of mind!

If you haven't seen it, shame on you again!
This Island Earth is a top notch example of
cinematic science fiction 1950's style.

Watch it with someone you love.

Fruits

Here are two sketches
based on fashions from
the books Fruits and
Fresh Fruits.

The books are collections
of images from the Japanese
magazine, Fruits, a
magazine dedicated to
Japanese street fashion.

They are a great source
of ideas for Illustrators.

Fathom

This was drawn from mam . . .er . . . memory after
watching "Fathom" starring Raquel Welch.
If you haven't seen it, shame on you.
It's a cool 60's spy flick that is truly loungalicious.
The opening title sequence by Maurice Binder
(the man responsible for the majority of the James Bond
title sequences) is worth the price of admission. A lovelier
series of images would be hard to imagine.

Photoshop fancifying applied very late at night (or very
early morning, depending on your perspective).
